Dr. Sarah Manchanda (she/her) is an academic and practitioner in the fields of school psychology and special education. She earned her Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis on school psychology from UC Berkeley and holds a Master's degree in Special Education from George Mason University. Dr. Manchanda is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the School Psychology Program at California State University, Los Angeles, where she plays a key role in educating and mentoring future school psychologists.
Dr. Manchanda also serves as a Post-doctoral Psychologist at the Institute for Girls’ Development, reflecting her commitment to combining academic and practical expertise. Her past roles as a special education teacher and curriculum developer have provided valuable insights into the educational landscape.
Dr. Manchanda’s research addresses bias-based bullying, cyberbullying, bystander intervention, and inclusive pedagogical practices aimed at enhancing learning in K-12 and higher education settings. She is also focused on promoting educator wellbeing and diversity in the workforce. Her personal experience with disability is a driving force behind her dedication to fostering inclusive and equitable educational environments.
