Natalie George is a second-year graduate student of the school psychology program at California State University, Los Angeles. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) Magna Cum Laude in the spring of 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

While attending CSULB, Natalie worked as a research assistant and lab coordinator for the Child Language Interactions and Memory (CLIaM) Lab under Dr. Kimberly Kelly. In CLIaM Lab, Natalie studied parent-child interactions in informal learning environments and how smartphones mediate parent-child conversations after visiting an informal learning environment.

During her time in the lab, she presented a poster at the Western Psychological Association conference in 2022 in Portland, Oregon, which investigated the impact COVID-19 had on students’ experiences in high-impact practices. In 2023, Natalie presented a poster in Riverside, California, investigating what children remember after an aquarium visit with their parents.

She also collaborated on a paper presentation for the 2023 American Educational Research Association conference in Chicago, Illinois and contributed to manuscripts published in Computers in Human Behavior Reports and Science Education. Natalie worked as a behavior interventionist for students with autism and other developmental disabilities, and is currently an instructional aide in a special education classroom.

One fun fact about Natalie is that she loves plants and have over 50 houseplants!
