Sabrina Morales (she/her) is a third-year graduate student pursuing an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology at California State University, Los Angeles. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, and has remained deeply committed to supporting students of all backgrounds throughout their educational journeys.

Sabrina began her career in education as a special education assistant in the Intensive Diagnostic Educational Centers (IDEC) program within LAUSD, where she provided intensive, evidence-based reading interventions to students with learning disabilities. She served in various educational support roles, including educational therapy intern, academic interventionist, executive functioning coach, and virtual tutor. Her work emphasized individualized instruction, collaborative goal-setting, and strong communication with families and educational teams to support student success.

Sabrina is especially passionate about working with students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, focusing on those with learning disabilities. She presented at the 2025 National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) convention on “Supporting Diverse Learners with Dyslexia Through an Ecological Perspective.

Her research interests include developing culturally responsive reading prevention and intervention programs, parent-school collaboration for families of children with disabilities, supporting first-generation students in higher education and career development, and designing effective interventions for English Language Learners (ELLs).

Outside of her academic and professional work, Sabrina is a proud cat parent to her Siamese cat, Nala, named after the beloved character from The Lion King.
