Charity Cheng is a first-year graduate student pursuing her Ed.S. in School Psychology at California State University, Los Angeles.
Prior to beginning her graduate studies, Charity volunteered as an instructional aide in various classrooms and after-school programs. She also worked for two years as a Registered Behavior Technician in home, school, and clinical settings. Through these experiences, she developed a strong enthusiasm for supporting and advocating for students and families, particularly those from underserved communities.
Her research interests include the educational experiences of foster and adoptive children, collaborative interventions for students with ADHD, and culturally responsive supports for Asian American families with individuals with disabilities.
A fun fact about Charity is that she has six siblings and believes growing up with many younger sisters contributed to her love for working with children!
